Gianfranco Ferre Hot Pink, Orange Ensemble Italian Designer, Gianfranco Ferre, known as the Frank Lloyd Wright of the fashion world. Deceased 2007 he replace designer Marc Bohan in 1989 andtook over the helm at House of Dior in Paris which was shocking for an Italian Designer to be the leader or director of French fashion. Trained as an architect his designs as highly structured, accented with layers and he loved intense colors. This 3-piece ensemble (like new with tags) is a perfect example of architectural style. The skirt, coat and blouse are of a raw silk like faille. Colors are vivid iridescent gold-orange and hot pink. The skirt has straight lines with a side kick pleat lined in contracting colors. The fabric is light and the coat is versatile. The white label shown is that of his Signature Ready to Wear Line and is price Moderate to high. Ferre was the biggest name in fashion from 1980's to 1990's while designing for the House of Dior. I believe that this is from his 2002 Spring Summer season. NWOT. This is an amazing ensemble. Size: 14 but again measure carefully because this appears more like a 12 as we know the various design houses size differently.
